All asbestos services provided by Alliance Air Monitoring Ltd. follow procedural guidelines and best practices set forth by the Alberta Asbestos Abatement Manual. Our lab technicians are fully certified in fiber counting and follow NIOSH 7400 procedures to ensure quality control.
Mould Services
Alliance Air Monitoring Ltd. can provide the following services related to mould abatement for any home or business:
- Bulk or Surface Sampling for Mould
- Indoor Air Quality Testing (Mould)
Bulk mould sampling is performed to provide a direct examination of a surface indicating all mould species present in a given area, even those which have not yet become airborne. Indoor Air Quality Testing takes multiple samples from within the home or office building and compares them directly to an outdoor reference sample to detect any presence of mould growth.

Lead Services
Following the NIOSH 7082 method for lead air monitoring, Alliance Air Monitoring Ltd. collects “close-face” samples using a 37mm, 0.8µm pore size, cellulose ester membrane to detect the presence of lead.
Silica Services
Alliance Air Monitoring Ltd. follows the recommended procedures for sample collection and dangerous exposure limits for silica dust developed by OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Association).
DOP/PAO Testing
Testing the integrity of HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Arresting Filter) that is at least 99.7% efficient in collecting a 0.3 micrometer aerosol. Alliance Air Monitoring uses PAO (Poly Alpha Olefin) in all our DOP Testing.
Alliance Air Monitoring Ltd. was established in June of 2019. We have over 20+ years of combined experience in the asbestos and mould abatement industry, including expertise in occupational hygiene and Occupational Health & Safety.
We provide air sampling for asbestos and mould abatements, lead and silica air monitoring. We also provide basic asbestos identification, sampling, and HazMat (hazardous materials assessments) surveys for homes and businesses. Our in-house laboratory provides our customers with certified analysis of asbestos fibre counting (NIOSH 7400 Method) and will soon offer bulk asbestos analysis.

Team Members
Ian Mundorf
Ian has 6+ years of experience in the industry gained by working with a major nationwide industrial hygiene firm. Ian specializes in asbestos surveys, air monitoring and holds his OH&S Certification. He also is a certified OHST (Occupational Health & Safety Technician) accredited through the BCSP (Board of Certified Safety Professionals) and is pursuing his CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional), accredited through the BCRSP (Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals).
Ian has his Bachelor of Education and Occupational Health & Safety Certification through the University of Alberta.
Addison Johnston
Addison has 15+ years of experience in the asbestos and mould remediation and restoration industries. Over that time, he has managed hundreds of projects, both residential and large-scale commercial. He specializes in mould surveys and air monitoring.
