Alliance Air Monitoring Ltd. provides support and guidance to asbestos remediation contractors by providing:

All asbestos services provided by Alliance Air Monitoring Ltd. follow procedural guidelines and best practices set forth by the Alberta Asbestos Abatement Manual. Our lab technicians are fully certified in fibre counting and follow NIOSH 7400 procedures to ensure quality control.
Our Company also follows the Alberta Government document: Occupational Hygiene Reports requirements and tips, where competency of assessors must have the qualifications necessary.
Samples are sent to an accredited lab where NIOSH Method 9002 or asbestos PLM (polarized-light microscopy) is utilized. TEM (transition electron microscopy) is an alternate method of identification, while it offers a more precise results, PLM is sufficient and less costly. TEM identification also has no criteria established in Canada; it is rarely used.

Mould Services
Alliance Air Monitoring Ltd. can provide the following services related to mould abatement for any home or business: Bulk or Surface Sampling for Mould and Indoor Air Quality Testing (Mould) to detect any presence of mould growth.

Indoor Air Quality
Alliance Air Monitoring Ltd. provides IAQ monitoring using the TSI Quest EVM-7 monitor. The investigation will include air samples of areas of concern and compare these results to the criteria established by Health Canada.

Lead Services
Following the NIOSH 7082 method for lead air monitoring, Alliance Air Monitoring Ltd. collects “close-face” samples using a 37mm, 0.8µm pore size, cellulose ester membrane to detect the presence of lead.

DOP/PAO Testing
Testing the integrity of HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Arresting Filter) that is at least 99.7% efficient in collecting a 0.3 micrometer aerosol. Alliance Air Monitoring uses PAO (Poly Alpha Olefin) in all our DOP Testing.

Radon
Health Canada states that Radon is a radioactive gas that comes from the breakdown of uranium in soil and rock. Alliance Air Monitoring Ltd. uses long-term (3-month) Alpha Track Dosimeters for testing as advised by Health Canada.

Alliance Air Monitoring Ltd. was established in June of 2019. We have over 10+ years of experience in Occupational Hygiene and Occupational Health & Safety.
We provide air sampling for asbestos and mould abatements, lead and IAQ air monitoring. We also provide basic asbestos identification, sampling, and HazMat (hazardous materials assessments) surveys for homes and businesses. Our mobile laboratories provides our customers with certified analysis of asbestos fibre counting (NIOSH 7400 Method).

Team Members
Ian Mundorf, B.ED., OHST
Ian has 10+ years of experience in the industry gained originally by working with a major nationwide industrial hygiene firm. Ian specializes in asbestos assessments, HazMat surveys, and air monitoring. Ian holds his OH&S Diploma through the University of Calgary and is a certified OHST (Occupational Health & Safety Technician) accredited through the BCSP (Board of Certified Safety Professionals) and holds the Level S Surveyor Asbestos Certificate through Work Safe BC. In 2025, Ian will be writing the ROH (Registered Occupational Hygienist) designation through the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists; the ROH is one of the highest designations achievable in our industry and is now mandatory to practice Occupational Hygiene in Alberta. Ian also holds a Bachelor of Education degree with the University of Alberta.
Keera Reece
Keera has been with our team since March of 2024. Keera has a keen eye for detail and tenacity for learning. As such, Keera has made herself indispensable to our team and will continue to gain experience in the Occupational Hygiene field. Keera has an interest in pursuing her OH&S Certification, the CRSP designation, and Level S Surveyor Asbestos Certificate.
